It's been a few weeks since I last updated! The TSA first years have been run ragged with Phase 2 of our Spring Semester. Our final review is next week. My plan is to give a few snippets of what we've been doing. The image below is the renderings of section cuts through our Exquisite Object cases from Phase 1. We were asked to combine sections that create entry, passage, and arrival conditions. They were also required to be at human, hallway, and gallery sized scales. This is my first iteration. More to come later.
I created this blog in order to chart my creative and intellectual growth as an architecture student at Tulane University. My blog contains ideas for designs, interesting images and media, and tidbits of information regarding architects at whom I am currently looking.

Exquisite Object - Phase 1 Review
Hey everyone, we've finally reached Phase 2 of our Spring semester assignment. The final review, held last Friday, went pretty well. The critics enjoyed my "Cerberus" narrative behind my object and model, and felt that the "object case" could stand alone, thus successfully recording the memory of my object. My studio professor, however, believed that case was "too simple" and didn't fully convey my ideas of chaos and sin seeping into reality, thus blurring the light. If only he could let go his complex and unrestrained ways and understand that I don't enjoy super complex models to show my super complex concept. Why not just convey that in a simple manner? Oh well, guess we'll see how that plays out in Phase 2. Pictures after the jump.
